Programming on KGAB includes live broadcasts of The Rush Limbaugh Show, Coast to Coast AM, and The Glenn Beck Program, as well as a delayed broadcast of The Sean Hannity Show. One of the most popular shows on KGAB is The Morning Zone, which is locally produced, and discussed topics of interest with a conservative slant. The station also carries the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos games during their seasons.

The station was assigned the call sign KVWO on June 9, 1978. On October 11, 1979 the station changed its call sign to KUUY and on December 9, 1996 to KMRZ. On March 21, 1997 the station became the current KGAB.[2]
