Kfar Monash

Kfar Monash (Hebrew: כפר מונש, lit. Monash Village) is a moshav in Israel. Located in the Hefer Valley in the northern part of the Sharon plain, it is administered by the Hefer Valley Regional Council. In 2005 it was inhabited by 600 people, and its lands stretched on 2.7 sq km. some of its inhabitants are farmers.
The moshav was founded in 1946 by former-Australian Jews, ex-servicemen of the British Army, and named after the Australian General of Jewish origin, Sir John Monash. It is known among archaeologists as the finding place of the Kfar Monash Hoard.
