[edit] Counties of England

Hello, it may not have been your intention, but in your edit to Oldham, you removed cited material for personal perspective. Wikipedia has a convention page stipulating that we use the modern, administrative counties at all times. Any questions, please raise them at WP:GM. Hope that helps, thanks, --Jza84 |  Talk  11:09, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Hello, I note that you've restore this material again. Please note, that it was the Greater Manchester County Council that was abolished in 1986. The county itself continues as a Lieutenancy area with a Lord Lieutenant and High Sherriff. Read the introduction to our Greater Manchester article (which supplies it's sources) and you should be enlightened. Please do not restore this material again without discussing it at WT:GM; it is against our policy. --Jza84 |  Talk  11:33, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
