Keypers are toys from the 1980s era. Keypers also had a cartoon on TV for a short period of time and released a few videocassettes with episodes on them as well. Keypers toys were made by Tonka Corp. The Keypers characters depicted animals. The Keypers toys had small comparments that you could hide things in. The Large Adult Keypers had special keys so you could lock and unlock the compartments they had located somewhere on them. The small baby Keypers had a slit in their backs so you could squeeze, open and then hide things inside. The Keypers also had small Finders for friends. The Finders would help the Keypers find lost items. Keypers toys are now sought after by collectors or for nostalgic reasons. Keypers had quite a few toy items made. Some of the Keypers toys came with many color variations depending on which country it was released in. Other variations were that some had glitter and non glittery eyes, and the Adult bear even has different names depending on the U.S. or U.K. version.
Keypers are getting hard to find. Some items can be found in thrift stores, online auction pages (ebay) , and on 80's toy selling webpagestoys.[1] [2] Some Keypers items are very rare and some of the names of them have yet to be located.
