[edit] License tagging for Image:Amy Kitcher and Steve Bard.jpeg
Thanks for uploading Image:Amy Kitcher and Steve Bard.jpeg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 12:05, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Steve Bard
Hi Kev. To avoid the bureaucracy to do with proving the copyright status of the source material, I've rewritten the two articles so that they are no longer recognisably the same text and referenced it as the source. See the automated message above too, though, as the image (which is now on both pages) needs a suitable tag to indicate its copyright status. Oh - you should also sign all messages, which you can do with four tildes: ~~~~
And I know you went to Leeds, as you will see if you look to the bottom of my user page :-) —Whouk (talk) 12:39, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- I spotted them because I have the Blaenau Gwent by-election page in my watchlist, having done a bit of work on it already. —Whouk (talk) 12:59, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have nominated both Steve Bard and Amy Kitcher for deletion. They are non-notable candidates - one is not even an elected representative - for a seat they have no historic chance of winning. doktorb | words 15:49, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
- Good call. thought as much myself at the time but wasn't sure. lesson learnt.
