[edit] John Lennon

Hello,

First of all forgive me my straight and bit more rough words, but all it is made for the sake of keeping John Lennon Article rich, clear, accurate and coherent.

You made edit to "John Lennon" article in "Death" paragraph describing it as "Removed extranuous details; more to the point of the section"

Instead of that you abbreviated it this way: Prior to the shooting, he had been approached by a group people seeking autographs. Chapman, who was among the group, silently handed Lennon a copy of Double Fantasy, and Lennon obliged with an autograph.

Now let me have some questions -

Why you deleted that Around 5 p.m., Lennon and Ono left the Dakota to mix the track, "Walking on Thin Ice". -without that it is very general and unclear to just claim Prior to the shooting - PRIOR - when? that day? how many hours before the shooting? Why he was aproached by fans? You deleted that he was approached by fans when on his way to recording studio. After your deletions it is not coherent. To have a coherent picture of that day we have to know what he did since the morning - so it is important to have there that Lennon first went to the Cafe LaFortuna, and then to a barber before returning home. He then did an interview for the RKO Radio Network before a photo session with Annie Leibovitz, for Rolling Stone magazine and THEN at 5 p.m. he went to recording studio.... Without that there will be questions without answers given by the article.

People want to know those details even when it may be not important for YOU. That description was there for many months until your action. You should be very careful when deleting sourced and detailed paragraphs, it was hard work to create such consistent paragraph.

Therefore I restored previous version.

anyway I wish you all the best in Wikipedia... --Bluewind (talk) 21:02, 21 December 2007 (UTC)
