I used to edit a lot, now I don't do it as much, but I still love this site and what it stands for.
NOTE: Signature used to be 'Kevin', but now is 'yuor faec'. Long story, but if you see a 'Kevin', chances are it's me.
[edit] A Little about me
In the world-famous Plano Band. Has been in a band program since 6th grade (2001), interested in music since age 0 (rough estimate).
[edit] Instruments
- Marched Sousaphone his junior year
- Can get some notes out on both if he tries.
[edit] Other instruments
- Knows how a Piano works, just can't get his left hand to work correctly
- Uhh...Recorder? sure.
[edit] Enjoys listening to
Uhhh, not much.
[edit] Jeremy Kondrat
A god among men.
[edit] Religion, sex, and politics! Oh my!
[edit] Wikipedia editing tendencies!
What you're really here for, right?
[edit] Redirects
I find myself kind of obsessed with redirects. If I come across a blank page that should be redirected, I'll do it on the spot. Likewise, if I click a link and it gets redirected, I'm fixing that link. I'll stop whatever I was doing and fix it. They bug the heck out of me.
[edit] Wikilinks
I believe that what makes Wikipedia so special is how you can start at one page, and end up at a completely different subject five hours later. Wikipedia's extensive cross-referencing enables that, and I try to do my part. As a result, I tend to Wikilink a bit too much. I won't be offended if you un-wikilink something I wikilinked. (As an aside, it's bugging the heck out of me that I haven't wikilinked this section at all. I'm in a rush, what can I say?)
[edit] Grammar
I try to be as correct as possible, but I do notice that I have trouble with mixing verb tenses (see list of music above), comma use (tend to use too many), and use of the passive voice. I'm trying, but please bear with me!
[edit] Frequency
I have an insanely busy life. There will be times I'm updating every other minute, and times I'll go months without editing. Send me an e-mail if I'm in a wikipedia-editing drought and you need me.
[edit] References
Pretty much every sentence I write will have a superscript at the end. I make sure whatever I'm saying can be proven true. If it can't, I'll either post it anyway with a 'fact' tag, or ask about it on the talk page.
[edit] Areas of focus
Areas that I tend to edit most:
- Anything having to do with Plano, be it the city, its schools, or whatnot.
- Sports, as I am a rabid supporter of many
- Video games
- Clarinet
...but I'll edit anything. It's Wikipedia, after all =P
[edit] Closing words
Geez you actually read all of this? Man, get a life.
I kid. I hope this helps...and it was a lot of fun to make =P. Happy editing!
...dangit, my actual userpage still isn't as long as my list of userboxes. Oh well, I'll add stuff later.
