[edit] Article lacks WP:A to establish WP:N
Wikipedia articles must be based on reliable sources to establish notability, and the author has not provided any ... without them, this is just original research, which is prohibited by official policy. —72.75.73.158 04:36, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] No improvements
What makes a Marine Corps lawyer involved in discussions about abuses at GITMO notable enough to have an article in Wikipedia? Please see the notability criteria in WP:BIO and WP:BLP ... I fail to see how the subject is (my emphasis added)
... notable for his participation in discusssions, in December of 2002, of reports that interrogators ... were using controversial interrogation techniques on the captives held in the Guantanamo Bay detention camps, in Cuba.
Anyway, that's why I plan to put a {{prod}}
on it Real Soon Now ... Happy Editing! —68.239.79.82 (talk · contribs) 21:55, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Looking better!
Well, it's starting to look Much Better! Kudos to Geo Swan (talk · contribs) :-)
I've upgraded the {{WPBiography}}
class from Stub
to Start
, and I've removed the {{Primarysources}}
tag ... also tweaked the new Awards section ... I'll come back in a few days (trying to avoid edit conflicts) to clean once more before it's time to MOVE ON.
BTW ... still waiting to remove the date/place of birth categories from this article ... it's kind of a litmus test for WP:ATT, i.e., "he's notable enough that someone has researched and published his date and place of birth", so it's trivial to have them in the opening sentence of a biographical article ... usually the first red flag when I'm on New page patrol.
If anyone is interested, I'd appreciated some feedback on What to do when a speedy delete tag is removed ... feel free to edit it for grammar or content ... opposing views/examples welcome. —68.239.79.82 02:26, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
