[edit] Why is this article semi-protected?

After seeing the Family Guy episode in which Peter moonlights as Kevin Federline's "magic mirror", I came here to find out who exactly Kevin Federline was. I found the article as it stands as of this comment (obviously) - poorly written, treating WWE as reality, making comments which are clearly biased against Federline. It's a sub-par article, and could use a lot of work. So why is it protected?

[edit] Plans for his next birhtday

On March 21st 2008, Kevin is not spending it with his kids or his ex wife, Britney Spears. Instead, He'll be spending it with his mama. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Spikeybubble (talk • contribs) 22:52, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Info

A court has ordered pop singer Britney Spears to give up custody of her children effective Wednesday at noon, according to court papers. We should add that. Since the page is locked, I can't do it —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.110.255.217 (talk) 20:31, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] This Talk Page

This page is not a discussion forum about Kevin Federline. Musings about his celebrity status and insults about his career do not belong here; this is only for comments related to the article itself. Off-topic discussions CAN and WILL be removed from this talk page. Thanks -Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 01:01, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Might I add that this is not a forum for what people think of him at all? Whether your opinion of him is positive (like me) or you are one of the many, many people who think they are doing the world a service by trashing him at every opportunity, NEITHER is what Wikipedia is for. Thank you for posting this common sense rule. Michaelh2001 17:02, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

This article is a complete whitewash of his failure as a musician. The album got "mixed reviews?" More like near-universal condemnation.

Please add sources that demonstrate his album got near-universal condemnation. If this is true, it's definitely worth noting.-Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 16:08, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Superbowl Ad

Shouldn't there be something somewere about his superbowl ad? Lately I've heard a lot about his ad demeaning people who work at fast food restrants. Uber Cuber 04:20, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

There is always a temptation with articles about current pop stars and personalities to add a mention of every single event that happens to them. In 10 years, will anyone care about one particular commercial he was involved in? -Dmz5*Edits**Talk* 04:06, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

The ad caused a controversy, and it was very notable simply because it was a Super Bowl ad and was seen by so many people. -Mike Payne 09:58, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

There was some controversy over it, mostly fueled by remarks from the president of the National Restaurant Association. But in my opinion it was a tempest in a teapot. As a lifelong restaurant employee and manager, I know there are many times you'll have employees goofing off while customers and employees wait for their order. This commercial illustrated that well. I also think the Super Bowl add is worth mentioning because it demonstrates career viability for Federline - for many a struggling actor, being in a Super Bowl add is a career saver. This add demonstrates a career that has survived for Federline now that he and Spears have ended their relationship, a notion previously scoffed at by pundits. (and per the rules, I'm not commenting on my personal feelings about his fame, etc. I think that issue is irrelevant and I agree with the above rule. He is a celebrity and there is no reason to beat that dead horse) Michaelh2001 21:45, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] K-Fed should be WWE Champion

K-Fed defeated John Cena on the Jan 1st episode of Monday Night RAW, therfore he should be No.1 contender because he defeated the WWE champion and thus automatically gets a WWE Championship shot (K-Fed is cool 20:17, 9 August 2007 (UTC))

Is wrestling still fake? 09:42, 3 September 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.135.66.172 (talk)
Yes, it is. 130.56.65.24 (talk) 02:32, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] All wrestling events, wins, awards, etc are complete trivia

You should only mention notable trivia. contraversy or something.

If you want to provide episode plots, then call it that. He didnt win a damm thing, he got paid as an actor.

Can't you see that the wrestling only pays Federline to act as he is a. down and out and b. famous and c. married to a and b.

[edit] WWE section + Album promotion.

It's clear that whole WWE section missed the point, it was all to help Federline promote his album "Playing with Fire". Rapper vs Rapper storyline, :/ It clearly needs to be rewritten if you ask me. Govvy (talk) 10:31, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] He Wrestled In Japan Before wrestling in WWE

According to Chris Jericho's book, A Lion's Tale, K-Fed acted as an assailant to Chris Jericho who wrestled as Super Liger. Instead Kevin wrestled for Chris that night in Japan. I will even quote the paragraph, page 338.

" When I returned to the States I heard Mark Madden on the WCW Hotline say,"Chris Jericho stinks in his first appearance as Super Liger." If word of my failure had reached America before I did, Super Liger really must've stunk worse than my nuts do. As a matter of fact, I didn't even wrestle in the Dome. I was attacked and stuffed into a closet and my assailant actually wrestled as Super Liger. Years passed before Kevin Federline would enter a wrestling ring again."

I think that this should be at least mentioned in the article.Urena198 (talk) 13:40, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

People not recognising a joke, especially when it's made by WWE wrestlers, is always hilarious. Maybe I'm wrong about the nature of Jericho's book here - which I doubt considering the use of the phrase "stunk worse than my nuts do" - but the Kevin Federline comment looks like a punchline to me. 130.56.65.24 (talk) 02:36, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
