Kevyn Major Howard

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kevyn Major Howard is a Canadian actor best known for his role in Stanley Kubrick's Full Metal Jacket.

After acting in high school, Howard moved to Los Angeles and Hollywood in the late 1970s.

Howard's new headshot was delivered to Paramount Pictures and, shortly thereafter, he was called in and booked for his first major film role, in The Serial (with Martin Mull, Tuesday Weld, Sally Kellerman, Pamela Bellwood and Peter Bonerz). This was followed by the film Scared Straight Another Story.

His career continued, giving him the opportunity to work with many 'A list' artists.

Because his self-taken headshot resulted in more auditions, Howard proclaimed his headshot concept and composition a success and now markets himself as having "reinvented the Hollywood industry standard for today's headshot". Howard is also noted as marketing himself with the tagline "Headshots that open doors".

In the BBC show The Human Face, Kevyn is touted as the "King of the Hollywood headshot".
