[edit] Time at Saint Thomas More Collegiate (British Columbia)

Several Brothers left Newfoundland and went to teach at St. Thomas More Collegiate in British Columbia. These included Short, as well as Joseph Burke, Edward French, and Edward English[4].

The subsequent lawsuits[5] by the Mount Cashel victims against the Christian Brothers organization threatened to close STMC in 2004[6]. The story received considerable press coverage and was covered as widely as in Pakistan[7].
