Kevin Prosch

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kevin Prosch is a Christian musician best known as a worship leader and the author of several songs that became popular in the 1990s. Prosch's lyrics reflect his experience with God; "returning to first love" is a key theme in his song writing. Kevin is considered a pioneer in the contemporary Christian worship scene and is known for stretching set expectations about worship music. He plays many musical instruments from the piano to the mandolin. His concerts are particularly well appreciated thanks to a strong band and a willingness to "free style" in the middle of a song when he feels that God so leads him.

Kevin's many albums (Even So Come, Kiss the Son, Tumbling Ground to name but a few) have become bestsellers the world over. His songs include His Banner Over Me and Show Your Power. His music has inspired a "new sound" in worship influencing the likes of Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin and Martin Smith of Delirious?. Prosch is currently the worship pastor of More Church in Amarillo, Texas

Kevin is also a skillful welder, cement finisher and carpenter. While living in Birmingham, Al, in the late 80's, he framed several large homes. He also knows his way around Gold mines.
