Kevin Parke

Kevin W. Parke is President of the Todd Wagner Foundation (www.toddwagnerfoundation.org), a private charitable foundation dedicated to improving the lives of at-risk inner-city youths and adults. The Foundation partners with leading national and local organizations to provide a variety of community programming and was instrumental in bringing the national Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) to Dallas in 2001. (He currently serves as President of the school's Board of Directors.) The Foundation’s principal programs are sponsoring the Dallas After-School All-Stars (www.dallasasas.org) in partnership with the Dallas YMCA and MIRACLES, a breakthrough technology, education and life skills after-school program (www.miracles.org) that recently joined forces with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

In addition to his leadership roles with the Todd Wagner Foundation and KIPP Truth Academy, Mr. Parke is the Executive Vice President of the Wagner/Cuban Companies (www.2929entertainment.com). Co-owned by Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban, the Wagner/Cuban Companies is a vertically integrated group of media properties that includes film production businesses 2929 Productions and HDNet Films; theatrical and home entertainment distributor Magnolia Pictures; high-definition television channels HDNet and HDNet Movies; and Landmark Theatres, the nation’s largest theatre chain dedicated primarily to exhibiting and marketing independent film. Mr. Parke also serves as President of Landmark Theatres, which currently operates 58 theatres in 23 markets (www.landmarktheatres.com).

Mr. Parke is the former Executive Vice President of Broadcast.com, the original Internet media company, which was acquired by Yahoo, Inc. (NASDAQ: YHOO) in July 1999. Following the merger, Mr. Parke continued to serve as Vice President and General Manager of Yahoo! Broadcast Mr. Parke was also a corporate partner with the national law firm of Hopkins & Sutter, after beginning his legal career with the national law firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld in Dallas. Mr. Parke received his J.D. from Southern Methodist University School of Law and a B.A. in Economics and Psychology from Vanderbilt University.
