Kevin MacLeod

Kevin Stewart MacLeod, C.V.O. is the Usher of the Black Rod for the Canadian Senate.
Born in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, MacLeod attended Carleton University and Boston University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in History and International Relations.[1]
MacLeod has served several years with the Public Service of Canada, including twenty-two years with Canadian Heritage. MacLeod has been recognised by The Queen as a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order. He is the only Canadian to have been promoted through all three levels of the Royal Victorian Order.[1] He replaced the outgoing Lieutenant Commander Terrance Christopher.
He is the author of The Crown of Maples, La Couronne Canadienne, and the historical fiction novel, A Stone on Their Cairn.[1]
