Kevin Joseph Farrell (2 September 1947 in Dublin, Ireland) is the current Bishop of Dallas since his appointment by Pope Benedict XVI on 6 March 2007 taking over from the retiring Charles Victor Grahmann. He was a priest of the Legion of Christ.

Farrell was ordained a priest for the Legionnaires of Christ on Christmas Eve 1978. On 28 December 2001 Pope John Paul II appointed him as an Auxiliary Bishop of Washington DC receiving the titular see of Rusuccuru. He was ordained in early 2002 by Cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

In 1986, after years of ministry in Mexico, he was named the second director of Washington's Centro Catolico after its founder, Fr Sean O'Malley, was made bishop. Since 2001, he has served as Washington's moderator of the curia and chief vicar-general after 12 years as the capital see's top financial overseer.

He served in Washington until the 6 March 2007 when he was appointed Bishop of Dallas, Texas. He was installed on 1 May 2007[1][2]

The newly-appointed Bishop was presented with a public gift to his successor by retiring Bishop Charles Grahmann: baseball caps of the four hometown teams, arranged in order of their standings.

Bishop Farrell has a brother, Bishop Brian Farrell, who is currently the secretary of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. Kevin Farrell said of his brother "My brother is a bishop. My older brother -- but I became a bishop before he did.... There's still some of that sibling rivalry."
