Kevin Canty is the American author of three novels (Into the Great Wide Open, Nine Below Zero, and Winslow in Love) and two collections of short stories (A Stranger in This World and Honeymoon). He is a faculty member at the University of Montana at Missoula in the English department, where he currently resides. Canty is a master at illustrating the humor, absurdity, and poignancy of life, even at its most mundane moments.
Kevin Canty is also the brother of musicians Brendan Canty and James Canty.

- Canty received his Masters degree in English from the University of Florida in 1990.[1]
- He received his M.F.A. from the University of Arizona in 1993 in Creative Writing.
