Kevin Brooks (born October 12, 1969 in Beaufort, South Carolina) is a former professional American and Australian basketball player. He attended high school in White Castle, Louisiana, U.S. and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, then named the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

Brooks was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 1st round as the 18th pick of the 1991 NBA Draft. From 1991–1994 he played three seasons with the Denver Nuggets, averaging 3.3 ppg in 126 games.

Brooks moved to Australia with former Nuggets teammate Darnell Mee to play with the NBL's Adelaide 36ers in the late 1990s, where he was the NBL Grand Final MVP in 1998 and made the All-NBL First Team in 1999. He also played 27 games with the Sydney Kings and played in other smaller leagues for a few years thereafter.[1]

Brooks started his managerial career as head coach of the Australian Basketball Association Woodville Warriors. In June 2005 he joined the Stamford Grand Basketball Academy in Adelaide, South Australia as assistant coach, training a future player-base for the 36ers.

In 2007, Brooks was named coach of the Wellington-based Central City Saints, also in the NBL, but in New Zealand.[citation needed]
