Kevin Bell

The Honourable Justice Kevin Bell QC is an Australian judge. Since February 2008, he has served as the President of the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).[1] Prior to this, he was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria, after having worked as a Queen's Counsel for eight years and a barrister for 20 years.

On February 19, 2008, Victorian Attorney-General Rob Hulls announced that Bell would replace Justice Stuart Morris as the Head of VCAT. He was appointed for a two-year term. He is to carry out a review of VCAT to determine what reforms, if any, are necessary.

Bell was also elected as a Councillor of the City of Essendon, where he was active in establishing the Essendon Community Legal Centre. Bell holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws with honours from Monash University.[2]
