[edit] Athletic Programs
Kettle Moraine supports 15 boys' and 12 girls' interscholastic athletic programs in the Classic 8 Conference[2]. A few of Kettle Moraine's teams compete jointly with other schools in the Classic 8 in order to field a more competitive team. Those teams include the boy's and girl's swimming and diving teams, who are paired with Waukesha North, and the boy's hockey team, who team up with Mukwanago.Kettle Moraine also features a boy's lacrosse team which was started in the spring of 2007. They compete in the Milwaukee Area Lacrosse Conference along with area rivals Oconomowoc, Hartland Arrowhead and others.
The Laser football team, which currently competes in Division II of the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA), was defeated by Milton in the first round of the 2007 state playoffs. The KM/Mukwanago hockey team also lost in the first round of the 2007 state playoffs. Their cheerleaders did very well in 2007-2008 year. They went to state with their traditional routine and placed third. With their cheer dance they got 4th. The Varsity Dance team also went to state placing 6th in their hip hop routine. Early in 2008, both boys and girls alpine ski team qualified for the state meet. The girls team placed first in state bringing home yet another first place finish, while the boys team took third, the first boys team from KM to place at state. The Laser basketball team beat Waukesha West and Menomonie Falls to win regionals, then lost to Vincent in sectionals. The boys soccer team, coached by Greg Prospero, made its way to the quarter final in the state tournament before losing to Neenah High school. This was the soccer team's first ever appearance at state.
