[edit] Transcontinental countries Europe-Asia

There has been a broad discussion on the Europe talk page for the past days. The result of which was a consensus. I have not seen you joining this discussion at all. However, after the respective changes had been implemented you simply reverted them to the previous state claiming their was no consensus. Please, have a look on the discussion that lead to the changes and see that there is consensus to a large extent.

Actually, it should be your task to find out what was discussed there. However, I will give you a brief summary here: The most apparent flaw in the current version, as you reverted it, is that Armenia is listed with its full size, whereas Georgia and others are listed with their respective European sizes. Consensus opinion on this is to list all countries with their full size. The European size should only be specified, and then in addition to the total size, if it can be backed up by external sources, which are to be cited. A footnote shall further explain the border definition it is based on.

I urge you to either contribute on the talk page and provide arguments for the current status or to abstain further reverts of what others have diligently worked out. Tomeasy (talk) 08:51, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

I agree with your response. We should not rush things and give the earlier editors enough time to have their say. As you can see, I have also reverted some of Polscience strange edits like the one with Middle East.
I hope it is OK for you to have the total figures for all countries being listed for the time being, since this is more objective and neutral. As long as there is no consolidated agreement on which parts are European and which parts are not, it seems the least controversial to me to avoid trying to measure exactly this.Tomeasy (talk) 10:45, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] blond

Thanks for the note about blond. I've replaced the photo and requested an orderly poll: shall the article keep the photo illustrating blond non-European, or delete? I hope you will consider responding to the poll. rewinn (talk) 06:29, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
