Keshabpur is located at 22.9042° N 89.5667° E . It has 37513 units of house hold and total area 258.53 km². The distacne from Jessore City is 32 km.

As of 1991 Bangladesh census[1], Keshabpur has a population of 200229. Males constitute are 51.16% of the population, and females 48.84%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 103794. Keshabpur has an average literacy rate of 55.5% (7+ years), and the national average of 68.4% literate. The Keshabpur Pilot School & College is the proud of Keshabpur Upazilla. Keshabpur College is one of the best College of the Jessore district.

Sagardari is a village of Keshabpur upazila of Sagardari union, here Great poet Michael Modhusudan Dutta was born in 25th January,1824. Sagardari is bank on the Kapataksha Nad(river). Here, "Modhu Palli" is established where the Tourists visit everyday from allover the world. Here, "Modhu Mela",a fair, for memorandum of Modhusudan's Birthday is held every year.
