[edit] Kersal flats links

You keep replacing this link to your own website which is contrary to #12 at WP:EL#Links normally to be avoided. As this is your own website this is also in the realm of WP:COI. Please also note that you are close to contravening the WP:3RR rule. ---- WebHamster 12:10, 7 October 2007 (UTC)--

Why is it inappropriate? It is not a site which is profit making or has advertising. It is just a local history site on the same subject as this entry?

  • Please read the above links to answer your question, but briefly it has nothing to do with advertising or anything like that. It has to do with the fact that you are not a recognised authority on the issue and the information on your website is not verified, sourced or peer reviewed. I realise that you are a newcomer to WP and aren't aware of the rules and conventions which is why I'm informing you of this. Could you also please sign any comments you leave. ---- WebHamster 15:03, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Kersal flats. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Pit-yacker 12:45, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Deleting reused text

The comment you added to the afd archive should not have been added to the archived discussion as is made clear on that page. But to answer your comment, you cannot stipulate that the text you wrote is deleted just because you wrote it and want to use it elsewhere. All articles are written under the GFDL licence whereby anyone can use the text for any reason. You do not own the copyright of anything you've written in Wikipedia regardless of whether it's deleted or not. Similarly you are quite within your rights to reuse the text on your own website, or wherever else you like without any copyright infringements. ---- WebHamster 22:14, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, you will be blocked from editing. —Cryptic 14:55, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

You have been temporarily blocked from editing Wikipedia as a result of your disruptive edits. You are free to make constructive edits after the block has expired, but please note that vandalism (including page blanking or addition of random text), spam, deliberate misinformation, privacy violations, personal attacks; and repeated, blatant violations of our policies concerning neutral point of view and biographies of living persons will not be tolerated. —Cryptic 06:45, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
