[edit] Adoption offer

I hereby offer to adopt you under Wikipedia:Adopt-a-user.

This is very unusual: you've done a large number of edits, yet there is almost zero conversation on your user talk page (this page)! It must be that you've been doing everything right, so nobody has anything to complain about.

I've done some translations, too: mine are from French.

Please feel free to post messages on my talk page, to ask questions about how Wikipedia works, or just to say hello. Let me know whether you accept me adopting you. --Coppertwig (talk) 23:05, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Congratulations. You're adopted.  :-) --Coppertwig (talk) 13:11, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] wiki connection

Hi there! Now we are connected in the wiki world too! Let's talk. 138.220.83.143 (talk) 14:03, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi again! anunezsanchez (talk)
Hi there, Kerres. I declined to adopt Anunezsanchez mainly because the user is apparently already adopted by another user. However, both of you are welcome to post messages on my talk page from time to time: not only specific questions about how to use Wikipedia, but also just to say hello, to tell me about contributions you're proud of, or to ask me to check over something you've done or plan to do to see if I have any comments. I don't know everything, of course; you're much more expert than me in the subject matter you're working on. I like your sand image in your link to your sandbox. :-) --Coppertwig (talk) 13:12, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Looking over articles

OK, I read through half or so of the article Water supply and sanitation in Latin America which you had given me a link to. I made some minor changes, and put a bunch of comments on the talk page with suggestions for further changes that could be done by people who know more about the subject than me. I plan to go through the rest of the article when I have time. I'm not sure which other articles you mean, so I suggest that you give me links to about three or four articles that you'd like me to look over, and I'll probably go over them gradually over several weeks. (Or you can just give me one at a time.) I hope my comments on the article are helpful.

By the way, I enjoyed reading the article and feel that I now know about ten times as much about the subject as I did previously! --Coppertwig (talk) 14:18, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

OK, I see the navbox now! OK! I'll look over some more when I have time. --Coppertwig (talk) 20:03, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes, the topic is interesting; and I think the way you put a link to the table is just fine the way it is. It would take up too much space if it were included in the article. I've only had time to glance quickly at the table yet, but it looks like an excellent way to organize the facts. --Coppertwig (talk) 12:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi! By the way, you're translating these from Spanish, right? I think your English is excellent: only a very few things in the last article I thought needed to be changed in terms of wording, and they weren't even really grammatical errors. Which article would you like me to look at next? Coppertwig (talk) 15:50, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
OK, I read Water supply and sanitation in Ghana and Water supply and sanitation in Benin. I made some minor changes and left some comments on the talk page. Great work, Kerres! Keep it up! Coppertwig (talk) 23:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cuestion about Wikipedia Categories

A friend of mine just recently created a category in the Spanish wikipedia for the electricity articles (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categor%C3%ADa:Sector_el%C3%A9ctrico_por_pa%C3%ADs). But apparently she is not able to sort them out alphabetically as in the English wikipedia . Could you please help us? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Electricity_sector_by_country).

[edit] Water sanitation

Keep up the great work. These are highly important articles and as you can see most of them are missing for Africa which is dreadfully underdeveloped. Anything you can do on Africa is warmly appreciated. Regards ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 19:23, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar of Aqueous Service

The Barnstar of Aqueous Service
I, Coppertwig, hereby award thee, Kerres, this Barnstar of Aqueous Service for thy solitary, skilful, steadirecurrual contributions on a topic of fundamental importance to the human condition, by withdrawal of information from sources down to the last drop, processing of the information and distribution with linguistic skill on a non-revenue basis to help satisfy humanity's thirst for knowledge. Coppertwig (talk) 12:38, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

("Thee" is of course an old English word meaning "you", and "hereby" means "by means of this message I'm posting right now" – I love that word – but don't try to find "steadirecurrual" in any dictionary. I coined it from "steady", "recurrent" and "continual". Coppertwig (talk) 12:38, 22 May 2008 (UTC))
