Persian literature

Do you know something about persian literature? And especially those from Rumi (Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Balkhi-Rumi)? I'm having troubles with the translation of some sentences from Fārsi into English. Can you help me out? Ramtashaniku (talk) 14:22, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I, Shojaijekhi, award you this Bagel of Zion for improving the coverage of ציון. Remember not to edit on empty stomach.

ملک هم بایدم جستن ز جو --- کل شییء هالک الاوج

Do you think you know the exact meaning of: ملک هم بایدم جستن ز جو --- کل شییء هالک الاوج I was translating it as: "now once again I will die as man, to mourn". Is this correct, and if not, what should it be then? You might know for you seem to be the biggest Iranian user here. Ramtashaniku (talk) 14:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I never edited the Zion article...

Translation

You said you would go and ask a few more people for the proper translation of the sentence I gave you. I do not know if you did this or if you did not. What I do know, however, is that I did not receive any further mesages of yours. Did you perhaps forget? Or are you perhaps to busy in real life with something else. If so, I can understand this. But I expected the translation of only one single sentence wouldn't have taken you so long to properly translate. After all, you said you were speaking Farsi as first and native language and that you are of Iranian birth. So if that information you gave is all correct it should be easy for you to translate. I'll await your answer. Yours sincerely, Ramtashaniku (talk) 21:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks a lot!

A reward for good works done
I, Ramtashaniku, award you this star. You are willing to help everyone who asks for help, even when it concerns a subject you do not know very much about. You do your best and selflessly help your fellow wikipedians. Keep up the great work, inshallah! -- Ramtashaniku 20:43, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for the star. The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 17:27, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Oh, it was just something I came across while searching for a way to show you my appreciation. Do you have the translation from that guy from Iran yet? Ramtashaniku (talk) 18:35, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

I don't know that guy in Iran, someone I know asked him. The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk)

Nevermind. Just keep me informed! Let me know when you got an answer, okay? Ramtashaniku (talk) 15:10, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

He sais he is still awaiting a reply. The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 16:07, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Just as I am. And it is tai\king rather long. I might ask someone else, but relative and friends of mine come up with the same inferior translations I allready thought of myself. I just cannot place all these words right, you see. And you don't seem to progress well on it either. Ramtashaniku (talk) 16:41, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Same problem here... The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 16:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Ah, then there is nothing else to do then wait. I myself might contact some members of the Persian literature project. Again; as far as I checked they are not editing as regulary as you either so I might not get much help from that corner aswell. Ramtashaniku (talk) 16:58, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Well, even I don't edit as much as I used too, I once made over 1000 posts in one month (though it's 988 now as some articles which I edited have been deleted), now I don't even make the 300 anymore... But anyway, try contacting some people and otherwise just keep your translation. The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 17:02, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

AfD nomination of Operation Badr (Iran-Iraq War)

An editor has nominated Operation Badr (Iran-Iraq War), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Operation Badr (Iran-Iraq War) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:59, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Despite your love for ایران

...Thanks for staying neutral and reverting edits from user 212.8.132.155 where appropriate. I've reverted data he's manipulated on many, many military-related articles w/o providing a source. Your revert is about a month old, but I just noticed it. Thanks again.—DMCer 12:14, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Are you going to bann him? The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk)

I don't have the power to, but I see he changed some numbers on the Military of Iran page (which you reverted) after his last warning, so I'm going to report him to someone who can.DMCer 05:29, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
He's blocked for 31 hours.—DMCer 13:33, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

That's good...The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 15:05, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force

Hi Kermanshahi - I've noticed your work trying to keep this article free of unsourced and otherwise suspect data. Today, a regular WP:AIR contributors updated the figures in the "inventory" section to what has just been published in Aviation Week & Space Technology's Aerospace Yearbook 2008, and of course, within a few hours, the numbers were all over the place again. I've therefore semi-protected the page to make it easier for those of us interested in doing so to keep the disruption to a minimum. Just thought I'd let you know! Thanks for your work on this so far. Cheers --Rlandmann (talk) 01:39, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi again. I see you've added some notes about the Iranian-built aircraft (the AW&ST publication didn't give figures for these). Since this whole issue has proved so controversial, I wonder if you could please add citations for those numbers? --Rlandmann (talk) 21:58, 26 February 2008 (UTC)
The problem is, this approach really constitutes Original research. User:VIVAK was adding figures to this article based on the number of helicopters he could count on Google Earth. We really need to stick to published sources on this. --Rlandmann (talk) 19:39, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Brazil

Just so you know, after your last edit at List of countries by number of total troops, Brazil is now listed twice in a row. I would fix it myself, but I don't quite understand where you get the information and all that, so I thought I'd just let you know. Cheers! --Managerpants (talk) 12:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

Vandalism had been done to the article, so I copied the top 10 of my last revision to the article, to replace the new (vandalised and so incorrect) top 10. Apparently Brazil was listed 11 on the new list, I didn't see it. So I've fixed it now. Cheers! The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 18:37, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
Okay, that's what I figured. Well done sir! --Managerpants (talk) 19:15, 5 March 2008 (UTC)

artist renditions of persian historical figures

salam kermanshashi jhan, I am Sohrab by the way, Ive spoken with a few artist, namely Mazoud, Aram from deviantart and khosru to name a few, they've given me permission to post their works about Persian historical characters and artist renditions of certain events, this might help create more buzz and generate more feedback concerning our history plus it might make our articles concerning persian history more complete. I am just wondering if it would be all right to do so? this might help us attain a certain level for our articles here in wikipedia --ParthianPrince (talk) 17:28, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I wish you good luck with it my friend. BTW, If they have given permission, than you can upload the pictures... The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk)

three already have, do you have yahoo messenger, Ill show you their work, Aram did a great job with avicenna, I have requested he do Babak. here is my yahoo messenger, parthian_palatinus@yahoo.com.ph

--ParthianPrince (talk) 01:37, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't have Yahoo messenger. The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 13:32, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

The Frysk site

Hi, Kermanshahi!

On the Frisian wikipedia, under navigaasje, the Help is currently linked to http://fy.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hulp:Help, a redlink. I'm guessing the best place to point it would be: http://fy.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedy:Help. Unfortunately, I have gjin tastimming, or I'd edit it myself. :-)

I hope I'm not bothering you, but of all the listed Frysk Behearders, somehow you struck me as the most accessible. If there's someone else I should have asked, please let me know and accept my apologies. Erm, I couldn't seem to find the right help file for that info... Well, truth is my "fy-0" status doesn't help matters. Gheheh!

Thanks much! Snakesteuben (talk) 18:34, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

I fixed the navigation sidebar on the Frisian wiki. Never mind!

I figured it out. Please disregard plea for help. image:smile.gif

Winter S. (talk) 17:10, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Please stop sending me these kind of messages, I am not a member of the Frisian wikipedia! The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 20:06, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
