Iranian diplomatic missions map

I made the map larger on the webpage. However the shades of red are too similar to discern any differences (I cannot make out the difference between the US and Canada). There are also no countries which have two Iranian embassies. I think you added this because you referred to the article and I just realised there is a mistake - Iran has a consulate (not an embassy) in Herat, Afghanistan (my mistake). Kransky 05:59, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I just typed the two embassies becasue it said in th earticle. I can change the shades of red. The Honorable Kermanshahi 14:40, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

Can you please redo the map so you just list countries that have an Iranian embassy. Adding in different colours according to the number of consulates complicates the map unnecessarily and doesnt provide any noteworthy information. Kransky 10:26, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, you do still see wich country has more diplomatic missions, but I'll see when I can change it. The Honorable Kermanshahi 16:41, 28 October 2007 (UTC)

Iraqi security Forces casualties

None of the 3 sources you have provided supports your claim of 7,460. The First source does not say anything at all about how many casualties Iraqi Security Forces had. The second source is called: "More than 12,000 Iraqi police casualties in 2 years"'could you tell me how more than 12,000 Iraqi police could have been killed and the total Iraqi casualties are only 7460? And your third source sais: This is not a complete list, nor can we verify these totals. This is simply a compilation of deaths reported by news agencies. Actual totals for Iraqi deaths are much higher than the numbers recorded on this site. So could you tell me how you got this 7,460 number? The Honorable Kermanshahi 08:43, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello. I moved this from my talk page in order to keep the thread in one place. I will watchlist this talk page for awhile. I have been editing Casualties of the Iraq War for a long time. The "12,000" casualties number for the ISF is for both wounded and dead. The icasualties.org page is just a partial list. The only firm number for ISF deaths that I have found anywhere is in the pdf file linked from
http://www.brookings.edu/iraqindex
Here is a direct link:
http://www3.brookings.edu/fp/saban/iraq/index.pdf
It says that 7460 Iraqi police and military have been killed. At the Iraq War article I just clarified the reference link details:
Iraq Index. Tracking Variables of Reconstruction & Security in Post-Saddam Iraq. Brookings Institution. For the latest total of Iraqi police and military killed see page 8 of the most recent Iraq Index PDF file linked there.
A new report just came out. It is now 7479 killed. --Timeshifter 17:21, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

I can't open it on my own computer but I'll take your word for it. The Honorable Kermanshahi 14:59, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Grutte Pier

I doubt that any one of us on the Frisian Wikipedia is Grutte Pier. But other than that: Congratulations on having a large article about him. At the top it currently says it needs copy editing, so I hope you will soon be able to improve it that way. Mysha —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 11:27, 5 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi there ! I started translating the English article to French, maybe you could help me with one little thing. Since I don't understand a word of Dutch, could you please tell me if I made mistakes translating the references ? For example, I hope I did not cut parts of the titles while wanting to help people understand what books and websites talk about :) Thanks in advance, I'll leave you a lil' message when the article will be complete, which will be either tonight or (more probably) tomorrow. Have a nice day, Alchemica 08:21, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

I have not made the Grutte Pier article and I do not know anything about him. The article on Grutte Pier was made by Haggawaga - Oegawagga, a banned sockpuppeteer. The Honorable Kermanshahi 08:54, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes, our good old Darkoneko found out that he took your identity in order to ask me to make this translation. He also created several accounts on fr.wikipedia and all of them are now blocked. He expressed his regrets and I hope he will leave you alone from now on. Anyway, it was a good occasion of expanding the French version of the article :D Have a nice day, Alchemica 10:02, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Just to make certain, to avoid blocking the wrong address: Are you saying the person posting on fy: about Grutte Pier is not you? Aliter 23:22, 20 October 2007 (UTC)

Yep, it's not me. My guess is it is Haggawaga - Oegawagga, a banned sockpppeteer on wikipedia. The Honorable Kermanshahi 09:13, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the explanation. Sorry, that we took up your time about this. If there's a topic you yourself would like to see treated on a page on fy:, don't hesitate to ask. Aliter 20:03, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Why did you (or someone who signed as you) delete the contents of article ro:Listă de ţări cu arme nucleare and its page of discussion? If you have any objections relating to this topic, you're welcome to show us them at the discussion page. Remigiu —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.21.40.251 (talk) 12:01, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Hi! You or someone who signed as you did this [1] on the article about Israel on bosnian wikipedia. If you did that, your IP will be blocked next time and if that isn't you, that means somebody hates you :) and his or her IP will be blocked. Cheers. --217.199.143.20 12:08, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

I have not done any of those two edits, I am not even on the Spanish Wikipedia or whatever wikipedia that was. That was also not someone signed as me but just an unknown IP adress. Block it if you want because that isn't me. The Honorable Kermanshahi 12:15, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Same at Limburgish Wikipedia, I believe you. It was a central European IP address. --Ooswesthoesbes 12:28, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
Should I block him crosswiki? -- drini [meta:] [commons:] 21:07, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, block him. The Honorable Kermanshahi 21:09, 7 October 2007 (UTC)

Pier Gerlofs Donia

following this.

Hello, Oostewesthoesbes, I greet you! I am a user from the English wikipedia, and I'm asking contributors who understand English aswell as other languages, to look at the English wikipedia, and it's article on Pier Gerlofs Donia (aka Grutte Pier)! I am a administrator of the English wikipedia. I want to help you translate articles from english into your language (which I understand). Just contact me.

Contact me here!

Well, I wanted to tell you the person who wrote this how I was disgusted by the fact he were using the fact he's a administrator of the English wikipedia to push people to translate things for him. And now, I checked [2] and found out that this account is not an administrator on enwiki.
But seeing the numerous barnstar on your user page, I started to have doubts. Then I read this, it became much more plausible somebody was using your name on frwiki for his own benefits. As a steward, I'll make a checkuser on both enwiki and frwiki just to be sure, then block the usurper definitly if the result concur with what I'm thinking. I'll be keeping in touch once I finished.
Darkoneko 07:59, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
greetings
fr account was blocked, and I send you a mail regarding this matter
Darkoneko 10:28, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Yes I have responded to your mail. The Honorable Kermanshahi

To Prevent all Confusion

I am the Kermanshahi on the: Flag of the United Kingdom English, on the Flag of Germany German, on the Flag of PolandPolish, on the Flag of Portugal Portuguese, on the Flag of Sweden Swedish, on the Flag of ItalyItalian and on the Flag of Spain Spanish Wikipedia's. All other Kermanshahi's you find (specially this one) are not me (except on the Dutch one but that's a different story) and I only edit on the English Wiki!
The Second thing I want to Say is: I have not made any article about Grutte Pier on any wikipedia's, I do not know about him and am not interested either. Please do not bother me with anything regarding Grutte Pier. The Honorable Kermanshahi 10:09, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Sorry to Interrupt but the Sassanid Empire never conquered all of Anatolia like in that image you made Image, not even temporarily, they did conquer up to 1 third from the east but nothing more and i can prove it... so edit it.

P.S. What program did you use to edit the Image

How would you then explain the battle for Constantinople? The Honorable Kermanshahi 08:50, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Tactical victory

I have proposed this for speedy deletion since it is just a dictionary definition without any context. If you wish to expand it and add a "hangon" tag, be sure you don't do so using original research. Thanks. <eleland/talkedits> 18:30, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

I've changed the tag to a proposed deletion, with the reason "Wikipedia is not a dictionary." I'm not sure it qualifies for criterion A1, and I feel more comfortable with this reasoning. Leebo T/C 19:37, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Tactical victory

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Tactical victory, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page.

Halabja poison gas attack

Would you look at this entry? Something is badly amiss. The references for the section International sources for technology and chemical precursors seem to say the exact opposite of what the first paragraph purports to be true. The references state that numerous U.S. companies were involved in supplying Iraq with the chemical precursors, yet the paragraph says there was little (if any) U.S. involvement. Further the doubts stated by the DIA as to Iraq's use of cyanide based chemical agents has also be scrubbed. Vandalism? Politicization? BingoDingo (talk) 01:59, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

US companies did provide Saddam with chemical gass but that also sais in that section, however it is also true they did not play the prinary role as companies from other countries contributed more. The Honorable Kermanshahi (talk) 09:27, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Nahang Class Submarine

  • Hello Kermanshahi. I am not sure if you have seen this video yet[3], as it is only a few days old I believe. It is a news piece from an Iranian naval shipyard and facility, and in the video at about 28 second, you can see a Nahang Class submarine in the process of being built. I just thought you might be interested, if you are not already aware of the video. Atari400 18:34, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
The Submarine you see on that video is the Iranian Kilo class submarine Taregh, and not one of the Nahang class submarines. I was aware of this video as I am trying to find out what the Jamaran is, is it a destroyer or is it the Moudge? And that video shows the Jamaran in the beginning. The Honorable Kermanshahi 19:25, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
At 28 seconds into the video, the submarine briefly in focus for less than 10 seconds is much to small to be a Kilo class. It is clearly a Nahang type design, in both size and shape. Please check again, and examine the size of the workers in relation to the boats hull. The kilo is not shown until later in the video, and it is MUCH larger, and very different in shape. If need be, I will grab stills to show you what I am talking about. Atari400 20:14, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

P-3F picture

Hello! I do not understand your criticism about the P-3F picture on Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force. As clearly noted this picture was taken by the U.S. Navy in 1994 and it is public domain provided by the U.S. DVIC [[4]]. Maybe you could elaborate your point of view.
