Kerry Scott Conran (born November 6, 1964 in Flint, Michigan) is an American filmmaker, educated at the California Institute of Arts.
Conran's first film, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, was filmed entirely against bluescreen using a technique Conran invented. Conran also wrote the screenplay, while his brother, Kevin Conran, served as the production designer and costume designer. The film grew out of a six-minute demonstration reel Conran created on his computer, which caught the attention of Hollywood film producer Jon Avnet, who would produce Sky Captain for Paramount Pictures.
Afterwards, Kerry was slated to direct an adaptation of the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel, John Carter of Mars, but was replaced by Jon Favreau.
