Kerri-Anne Kennerley

Kerri-Anne Kennerley (born November 15, 1949) is an Australian television presenter.

Kennerley has hosted many Australian television programs, including Midday with Kerri-Anne, Good Morning Australia, and her current job Mornings with Kerri-Anne. Kerri Anne began her television career aged 14 when she hosted the afternoon children's programs Everybody In and The Saturday Show.

Kennerly first appeared on TV at the age of 14 and has been working on live TV since 1981. The show that made her a household name and shaped KAK was Ten's Good Morning Australia, which she co-hosted from 1981 for 11 years.

In February 1996, Kerri-Anne commenced “Midday with Kerri-Anne” which was her long-term ambition to work on the show, and immediately returning the program to it’s former glory as the most watched daytime program on Australian television before the ratings began to slide with a change in genre.

She is an avid singer and her singing has been parodied on shows such as Fast Forward. She hosted the Australian version of the short-lived game show Greed. She is often referred to affectionately as KAK, a literal reading of her initials.

Kerri-Anne was also the host of talk back shows on radio 2CH and 2GB. She was also Chief Executive Officer of 2CH. Besides television Kerri- Anne has also had a career as a cabaret singer which took her to the USA.

In a recent interview in The Australian Women's Weekly she revealed that she had a miscarriage 15 years ago and will always regret not having children.

Kennerley is married to husband John and has two step children, plus Harvery her beloved dog.

Kerri-Anne has never won a Logie before, but has been nominated on numerous occasions. She was nominated for the Gold Logie in 1997, 1998 and 1999 for her role as host of Midday. She has also been nominated for many other awards.

Kennerley has however received several nominations for the Australian Skeptic's annual Bent Spoon Awards on account of her uncritical acceptance of the authenticity of psychics and psychic phenomenon.
