Kerosene is the major-label debut album of Country music singer Miranda Lambert, released on March 15, 2005 (see 2005 in country music) on Epic Records. The album has been certified platinum in the United States for sales of one million copies. It produced four singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts: "Me and Charlie Talking" (#27), "Bring Me Down" (#32), "Kerosene" (#15), and "New Strings" (#25).

Although Lambert wrote "Kerosene" herself, she gave co-writer's credit to Steve Earle on the song, as she felt that the song sounded similar to his song "I Feel Alright".[1]
