Kern Valley State Prison

Kern Valley State Prison (KVSP) is in Delano, California and is adjacent to North Kern State Prison. Kern Valley is a Level IV Maximum Security institution. This prison houses 4,791 inmates with a design capacity of 2,448. Kern Valley opened in 2005 and has an annual operating budget of $123 million.
