Kermit Erasmus (born July 8, 1990 in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape) is a South African football (soccer) striker. He currently plays for Supersport United in the Premier Soccer League.
Stocky Erasmus is being compared to Wayne Rooney and Brazilian legend Romario and has already represented the Under-17s and Under-20s scoring plenty of goals.
He was promoted to the first team at the start of the 07-08 season and scored the first professional goal of his career in a 3-1 league win against Ajax Cape Town on March 4, 2008.
He recently signed a pre-contract with Dutch side Feyenoord. He will join them for the 2008-2009 season after turning 18.
He was named after American musician Kermit Ruffins.
