Kerk-Avezaath

The town centre (dark green) and the statistical district (light green) of Kerk-Avezaath in the municipality of Buren.

Kerk-Avezaath (51°54′N, 5°23′E) is a town in the Dutch province of Gelderland. It is a part of the municipality of Buren, and lies about 3 km west of Tiel.

In 2001, the town of Kerk-Avezaath had 1079 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.31 km², and contained 437 residences.[1] The statistical area "Kerk-Avezaath", which also can include the peripheral parts of the village, as well as the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 1270.[2]

A small part of the village (not counted in the statistics above) belongs to the municipality of Tiel.
