Kerang is a railway station on the Swan Hill railway line in Kerang, Victoria, Australia. It is 289km from Southern Cross station. Kerang was once the junction station to the former rail lines to Koondrook and to Stony Crossing. The station contains a goods yard. The station is located at Boundary St.
Kerang, along with other stations on the Swan Hill line, consists of a short platform, with passengers required to access the nearest door.
[edit] Kerang Train Crash
On June 5, 2007, a fatal crash occurred between a train and a semi-trailer at a level crossing north of Kerang. Eleven people died, all of which were passengers.
