Kerala Shastra Sahitya Parishad ("KSSP") is an NGO, set up in 1962 by a group of science writers and activists with the aim of spreading science and literature in Malayalam.

It works in the areas of education, development, environment and health. Most notable is KSSP's role in the literacy drive which saw Kerala achieve a leap in literacy levels. It was also at the forefront of the Save Silent Valley movement which was the harbinger of environmental activism in India. KSSP is a mass based organisation and it has effectively employed innovative methods like street theatre to spread its messages. There was a time when this organisation symbolised the much acclaimed Kerala Model of development. "Science for Social Revolution" is the slogan of the organisation

KSSP had a major role in building a progressive outlook. Its publications include: Eureka, a children's magazine; Sastrakeralam, a magazine for high school students and Sastragathi a science magazine.

Apart from the magazines mentioned, KSSP publishes works on science, social justice and environment. KSSP used to conduct folk shows, children's clubs (Balavedis) and book festivals (Pusthakotsavams) all over Kerala.

A song popularised by KSSP goes like this-
"Shasthram Adhvanam,
Adhvanam Sambathu,
Sambathu Jana Nanmakku"

Science is effort,
effort is wealth,
wealth is for welfare of people.
