[edit] Introduction

Sinhala is one of the official languages of Sri Lanka, an island country located off the southeast coast of India. Sinhala belongs to the Indo-Aryan branch, which also includes Hindi, Urdu, and most languages spoken in India. I chose this language because my reasearch group member, Oshani, speaks this language.
