[edit] KvS DVD Releases?

The back of the S3 DVD says commentary by K and S on 2 episodes, and "crew commentary". Is the Crew commentary on every episode? TheHYPO 03:35, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

Spenny I feal for you, but you got to have confidence. and Kenny, you should give your friend somthing spesial, like a wisit from Quere eye for the strayght guy to pep you friend up. Make an episode oute of it or somthing... It would be great. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.149.120.141 (talk) 19:22, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

You need a visit from the dictionary. lol —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.69.168.196 (talk) 01:20, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] NOTE ON CHEATING

"Cheated" should not be blatantly removed from the article with no explaination. Any attempt to do so will be reverted. (cheated) should only be noted for competitions in which the cheater won. Cheating by the loser (eg. Spenny in the cook-off) should be noted in the episode description only, as the winner box only notes reasons for the win. PLEASE DISCUSS any addition/removal of "cheating" from past episodes on the talk page first. It would be appreciated to avoid reversion arguments via edit comments.

The definition of cheating in the context of this article must be defined; as such, the definition currently in use is when a competitor either:

  1. Breaks the rules of the competition as stated in the episode - not just guesses or interpretations
  2. Does something that would disqualify them or end the competition but is not caught by the other competitor
  3. Does something to unfairly rig a competition without their opponent knowing.

Examples of each include:

  1. I can't think of an example that doesn't fall better under the second criteria, as Kenny rarely explicitly breaks the word-for-word rules
  2. Not wearing his blindfold, not wearing his octopus, vomitting first in the drink-off, etc.
  3. Putting itching powder on Spenny's stand-off spot, using non-alcoholic beer in the drink-off, wearing solder in his hair on the weight-loss challenge, swapping the girl in the date-off, calling and cancelling Spenny's band in the concert-off, swapping dolls in the parent-off, not acting himself in the act-off, etc.

"arguably cheated" is more open ended. There are more examples of criteria 1 for arguable cheating. This is more for when there is a debate as to whether there is a rule broken or not. For example, if the standing comp had come down to just the first half, before the final stand-off, it would be arguable cheating, whereas K and S argued about whether using apparatuses was against the rules. But as it is, Kenny full-on cheated in the final stand-off by rigging Spenny's spot. Another example is the no-arm-off, in which it was argued whether the dwarf Kenny tied to his chest was "another person" doing things for kenny, or an "apparatus" stuck to his chest (or something like that). [edit] Trey Parker and Matt Stone Involvement

I'm curious, What exactly does being Executive Producer entail for Trey Parker and Matt Stone since Kenny vs. Spenny is produced in Canada? and in addition to Kenny and Spenny being Executive Producers there are at least five other Executive Producers of the show, You know the old saying too many cooks spoil the sauce. What exactly are they responsible for the show and how much time do they have to spend on K vs. S considering their hectic South Park Production schedule. Is this just a vanity credit given to the boys? Simon Bar Sinister (talk) 04:41, 20 December 2007 (UTC)

I would wager that we are very unlikely to find out, as they have no reason to publicize it. The show just began airing this season on Comedy Central. Perhaps part of the deal was that they had to put stone and parker as execs. As you say, it may be a simple credit of support - people in the US are more likely to watch a show produced by someone they know than someone they don't, and I'd probably guess that the target KvS demo is similar to a South Park demographic. The zap2it article to linked to in this article starts out "Matt Stone and Trey Parker are putting their weight behind a new run..." implying that it's merely a name-association thing, but that's not necessarily all it is. The article also implies that MS and TP were involved in suggesting or actually negotiating to bring the show to ComCent (I'm sure they have some sway down there). Alternatively, perhaps they have a hand in the show as well. Maybe they suggested competitions for this season. I can't really imagine you could watch the "biggest fart" episode after reading TP/MS's comment about them being especially funny because they are Canadian and not draw a connection to Terrence and Phillip. Similarly, the no-boner comp was similarly childish and also made me think that it was sinking to a new low. Perhaps they have influenced the competitions. We'll likely never know unless someone asks in an interview. TheHYPO (talk) 12:32, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Hey User:TheHYPO I have to tell you that was a very well thought out and well written response, most people would either not respond or just say that they don't know the answer but you obviously thought about it and wrote what different scenarios of what the answer maybe and your probably right we'll never really know the true answer unless someone just opening asks Trey and Matt. [edit] Where's Spenny?

Ummm...what happened to Spenny's page? Without mentioning any names, or throwing out wild accusations (Kenny) did someone delete it? Was it deleted for a reason, because it lacks information, will Kenny use this against him in a future episode, because he keeps losing? Tydamann (talk) 18:49, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

I think you're getting kinda paranoid. I don't know what was on Spenny's page, but unless it was something signifiantly more than is on this page, there is no reason for the page to exist, and I can imagine it being deleted. TheHYPO (talk) 19:05, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
It was deleted because it was copied from another website. That's all. Relax.Asarelah (talk) 19:23, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
The title is now protected, for unclear reasons. It probably shouldn't be; a request at WP:DRV should suffice to get it unprotected so that someone can restart it. Chubbles (talk) 18:01, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
I went and had it unprotected myself, and put up a stub. Chubbles (talk) 22:28, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] lawsuit

I heard somewhere, I'm pretty sure through Spenny's mouth, that there was a lawsuit filed by Spenny against Kenny, but they couldn't talk about it. Does anyone have any information on this?

Also, anything about their dissolving friendship? Notether (talk) 08:22, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] New Season

Is there any news about a new season or new episodes? --71.238.248.173 (talk) 06:30, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes. Spenny posted a comment in his video blog as a response to someone asking if they were going to show new episodes. He says "Basically we produced 10 new shows for Comedy Central and they purchased 10 old shows. They air them 10 at a time and mix them up; i.e. 5 new ones, 5 old ones. I think we’re doing 10 more new ones this summer."—Iggy Koopa (talk) 23:57, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
First of all, that link no longer corresponds to any video about new episodes. Secondly, if that link used to do so, Comedy Central must have taken it down, and if they did, that's definitely NOT confirmation that they're doing new episodes. In fact, one might think that's discouraging, if anything (although, I'm hoping not). Finally, that doesn't even sound like he's actually confirming season "5". Where did the quote on the article page come from? It's not from his video blogs. Is it from his myspace or something? If someone can't confirm this, it should be taken down, even though I believe there will be a fifth season due to the new dvd release announced for season one/four and the popularity of the show. 71.188.170.14 (talk) 06:39, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Statistics

Would it be just as/more valuable to count statistics in terms of number of humiliations performed? That seems to be how a contest is won, but without the ambiguity of how to account for cheating. Rocky87 (talk) 16:08, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

I agree, it would be more neutral. --Silver Edge (talk) 21:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
Not really. Spenny 'owns' half the show, and his entire justification for his personality is based on his belief that cheating does not count as a win. It's an important dynamic between them, and so there's nothing wrong with tabulating by both guys' standards. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.188.170.14 (talk) 06:41, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Music

Ride of the Valkyries and Ravel's Boléro are used in almost every episode. - I can reference that during the competitions, sometimes you'll hear a loop of a rock based guitar solo. That guitar riff is from Electric Funeral - Black Sabbath. Listen to the song and listen to that riff that plays throughout the show itself, not the credits or the title. The riff is prevalent in the who can be tied to a goat the longest competition. 65.93.57.178 (talk) 02:41, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Template:Kenny vs. Spenny

I created a template for the show and related articles, for better navigation/coordination. It's not the greatest, but it's a start. If you can add anything to it, please do. --Pwnage8 (talk) 17:53, 22 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] South Park Season 10

Where the crap are the extra Kenny Vs Spenny materials in the South Park Season 10 DVD release? Why are there so many questionable edits to this article, lately?71.188.170.14 (talk) 06:47, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

Also, in what show and on what date did they compete with milk crates? 71.188.170.14 (talk) 06:49, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
