[edit] AfD
Why would this go to AfD without a request to expand or cleanup first? This looks like a school that should be included in the project and, with the recent work, is at least Start Class.--Hjal 05:11, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Results of AfD
Kennesaw Mountain High School at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kennesaw Mountain High School (2007-01-10 – 2007-01-16) The result was no consensus, defaulting to keep.
Although 8 editors were in favor of keeping the article and only 4 wanted to delete it, the result was "no consensus," so the people working on this article should continue trying to improve it to prevent it from losing the next AfD. You might want to read the discussion to see why some editors thought that it should be delected. It shouldn't take too much more to make it safe.--Hjal 07:47, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Suggested expansion
- History: needs cleanup;
reads like copy and paste from school brochure;define attendance area/feeder schools;tell us where Kennesaw students went to high school before 2000 - Campus: construction, design, controversy (if any)
- Students:
include the test scores andadd demographic info - Faculty: anything to say besides the number? education and credential levels? awards?
- Extracurricular activities:
create new section andinclude sports, marching band, and spirit (delete student names and most coaches, unless notable); rivals? league? (the district itself is so big, that there must be two leagues or divisions for football, if not for all sports); add girls' sports; add student govt? clubs? newspaper? other? - Curriculum:
change title of "Academics" andkeep magnet info - Notable alumni: may be too soon for any of these
I'll do some more, but it needs some Georgia editors.--Hjal 16:50, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
- Started expansion.--Hjal 17:58, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] New photo may be needed
The photo of the campus used in the article, Image:Kennesaw main.jpg, is also included on the site of the Facility Group, at [1]. It is also on the PTSA website here: kmhsfront.jpg
BTW, if you intend to post more borrowed pix, I suggest this one from the PTSA.--Hjal 08:19, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
