[edit] The Article

I polished up most of the article.

[edit] rewrite

I think the entire article needs to be rewritten, as there is no smooth flow through it and typos/sentence fragments/runons are all over the place. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.238.149.150 (talk) 22:32, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Episode List

Kenan & Kel needs an episode list, anyone up to it. If not I'll see if can do it in the near future. Quasyboy 2:53, July 3, 2006 (UTC)

Just finished it. Quasyboy 1:49, July 7, 2006 (UTC)

They actually had 62 episodes a final episode was aired 2 years after the tv movie when kenan and kel feuded for no reason only latter being reunited by a fireman —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.65.116.167 (talk) 04:00, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rumors

I heard a rumor that Kel is dead. Killed in a car crash or something. Does anyone know anything about this? Fantom 20:33, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

As per IMDB, Kel Mitchell is filming a made-for-TV feature entitled Like Mike 2: Street Ball. -- Perfecto Canada 04:19, 18 November 2005 (UTC)
His myspace page is updated as of just a few days ago. This rumor is false. Further support for this is the original post right here was made in 2005, while the false information in the post says 2006. I'm not a big fan of actually editing things, because I'm afraid I'll mess up, but this need to be removed so other people are not mislead like I was originally. 74.242.1.105 23:19, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Or I would but someone managed to beat me to it! good job, mysterious editor! :) 74.242.1.105 23:20, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Do you think Kel Mitchell is like Kim Possible?

I think Kel Mitchell is like Kim Possible because of his parents. His mom is a brain surgeon like Kim's mom. His dad is a rocket scientist like Kim's Dad. Thief Lord 20:44, 19 November 2005 (UTC)

-- If you were a true Kim Possible fan you would know that this was discussed in episode 33. She is indeed Kel's biological sister, but had to be put up for adoption out of financial necessity. Mrs. Mitchell was still doing her residency and Mr. Mitchell was in a coma.

[edit] drake and josh

could they be the black counter part to drake and josh?

NO WAY- drake and josh are the white version of Kenan and Kel, not the other way round

yeah the shows are very similar, a fat kid and a skinny kid and an uptight sister but nobody can ever replace the best show ever to air on nick that's for sure.Volumesoxxs

[edit] Template?

I have added other Nickelodeon spin-off shows to the "See also" section. Do you think this might be the time for a template? Please reply. - LBM 21:14, 30 May 2006 (UTC)

As I stated in my edit summary, those aren't spin offs. The only connections are that they were sitcoms on the same network.--Agent Aquamarine 02:09, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

Incorrect; Kenan & Kel, The Amanda Show and The Nick Cannon Show were spin-offs of All That. --LBM | TALK TO ME 18:59, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

I misread what he said, I thought he meant that they were spinoffs of Kenan and Kel. And there's a slight difference between "spinoff" and "sitcom with two of the same actors". Use your discretion. Or someone else's.--Agent Aquamarine 22:47, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Another Movie

Wasn't there another movie where they both go to hollywood instead of an orange soda festival by accident? I definitely remember the movie. Too bad I'm too lazy to put that in.

Actually, that was a two-part episode (it didn't count as a TV movie, unlike the Drake & Josh Go Hollywood special made recently). -- LBM 14:45, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

i thought there wasw also another one where they went to a dude ranch on kel's birthday and met cousin skeeter

eaglemaneagles

What about Good Burger? Wasn't that a Kenan and Kel movie? Cranky1000 23:51, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

That was an All That movie --Caldorwards4 00:27, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Location?

Where did Kenan and Kel take place? What state/city? Anyone know?

It took place in Chicago, Illinois. --LBM | TALK TO ME 21:59, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Bought By Comedy Central

Did anyone else hear this rumor? Is it true?

Yes it has been confirmed here is a link I found [removed link to counterfeit dvds] .Volumesoxxs

That's so awesome! I love this show so much. It just sounds way too good to be true though, I hope they do play it.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Kenan & Kel Logo.jpg

Image:Kenan & Kel Logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:19, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 71.254.54.88

This user is constantly editing the Kenan and Kel page and keeps adding random Disney Channel references. View the history for examples, like Raven-Symone playing Kenan's mom. Any way to address this? Sheik124 16:19, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cultural critics.

...okay, seriously. WHAT? I am removing that quote about how cultural critics think orange soda is "the smartest part of the show" for blah blah blah. What? Not only is it inappropriate and completely out of place in the article, there's no sources for this quite dubious claim of any "cultural critics" saying that stuff about society commodizing whatever. Sorry for my surely immature-sounding attitude about that line, but it just really seems too ridiculous to be in this article. Evan1109 22:59, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Asperger's Syndrome

I have removed the phrases:

"although he could be a typical teenager of Asperger's Syndrome since Kel is always with Kenan, his one good friend, and only has so many interests."

"Also, , which suggests the disorder. "

1) This is entirely suppositional/hypothetical; there is no textual evidence to demonstrate this character has Asperger's or other broad-spectrum personality disorder.

2) The phrase was apparently inserted in already existing sentence, and creates a runon sentence.

Please do not add speculation to wikipedia articles. If you have sources such as quotes from episodes or the writers, please add a new sentence or section speaking about Kel having Asperger, and cite it.

[edit] WikiProject class rating

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 14:52, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Food Lion

I noticed some of the products sold at Rigby's have labels for Food Lion. Since, to my knowledge, Food Lion doesn't (or didn't at the time of the show's run) have a presence in Chicago (the chain is primarily in the South and Southeast); should this be added? (There was a planned expansion into Illinois; however that was indefinitely delayed thanks to, among other factors, a controversial early-1990s Primetime Live investigation.) WAVY 10 Fan (talk) 17:03, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tidied Nick Cannon reference

I have removed the dubious opinion that, "Nick Cannon is hilarious daddy." 90.205.60.141 (talk) 00:08, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

I think that's someone just trying to be funny. It's a line from Chappelle's Show.--BrettxPW (talk) 23:10, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] touch up

could someone touch up what I just added? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.24.33.194 (talk) 00:39, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] bye,bye kenan

I believe this episode deserves a special mention on the main kenan and kel page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.24.33.194 (talk) 19:57, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
