Incidentally it is not technically true that the 'Question of Leadership' documentary was banned by the Conservative Government. Actually it was witheld from broadcast by Channel 4 on the grounds of 'lack of balance'. It was then (after an intensive going over by lawyers) cut to a two hour, one part documentary, which was due for broadcast at the time of the Miner's strike, but it was felt to be 'too inflammatory' and again its broadcast was 'postponed'. To date it has never been broadcast on British TV. (Comment by 130.209.6.40)

Perhaps we should mention Ken Loach's involvement in politics:

French presidential candidate Olivier Besancenot is endorsed by British filmmaker Ken Loach, known for his depictions of working-class struggles.[1]
