[edit] Sources

What part of the article needs sources. Reading through it, I can confirm its all true.--Play Brian Moore 19:24, 2 May 2006 (UTC)

All of it. Wikipedia readers cannot read your mind. :-) — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] 23:54, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Birthplace

Surely someone is having a laugh with the use of "hospital" for Ken's birthplace!? Why isn't this Ranelagh (or wherever he lived for his first year or so)? FenianSwine, can you update us on this? bigpad 21:09, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

Removed the silliness. Agree it should be updated with sourced deets. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] 23:56, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Suspicious nickname

Resolved. Was vandalism; got removed

An IP address user (apparently a new one - has no talk page) added "The Ranelagh Knacker" as a nickname for Doherty, without a source (and changed high break stats). This looks like it may be article vandalism given IP address and new user, and especially the fact that "knacker" is considered a highly offensive term by many. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] 03:39, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm tempted to simply revert this per WP:ATT and WP:BLP, but will give some time for someone who knows Doherty better to weigh in. — SMcCandlish [talk] [contrib] 03:40, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] "Ken"

Is Ken his real first name, or is it short for Kenneth?

Or Kendall or whatever. Good question. It is very likely short for something, and (assuming Kenneth for example's sake) should eventually be done as Kenneth (Ken) Doherty, though the article should remain at Ken Doherty per naming conventions (use the name the article subject is best known by for the article title). — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 23:18, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
