Kentridge is a part of the North Division in Washington's 4A South Puget Sound League. The school has no clear rival due to the close proximity of the four Kent high schools and Tahoma. The most recent team State Championship was won by the Fastpitch Softball team in 2002. The boys basketball team lost a double overtime game to Ferris High School in the 2007 4A state finals.[1] Kentridge had previously won the state title in 1992 under Coach Brian Pendleton with a convincing 66-55 win over Kamiakin High School.[2]
Other recent state results have been:

  • 2nd in 2007 for Boys Basketball
  • 3rd in 2003 and 4th in '04 for Boys Track and Field
  • 4th in 2001 for Boys Soccer
  • 5th in 2006 for Boys Tennis
  • 7th in 2005 for Girls Tennis
  • 8th in 2006 for Boys Swim and Dive
  • 8th in 2001 for Volleyball. [3]

The Kentridge Men's Tennis team was honored as the academic state champions of 2002. The Kentridge Judo team consistently takes first place in state every year. Judo has never, since the opening of the school in 1968, been honored with any academic awards at all [2]

Kentridge High School's current activities director is Mr. Anderson.
