The Kent Free Library is a library located in Kent, Ohio, United States. It has been in operation since 1903 and was originally a gift to the citizens of Kent by Andrew Carnegie. It is part of the Portage County Library Consortium, which includes the Portage County Library District and Reed Memorial Library in nearby Ravenna. It is currently a school district library associated with the Kent City School District. The library has undergone several expansions since 1903, with the latest expansion occurring in 2004-2006. This expansion saw the demolition of the three previous additions and the construction of a large addition which tripled available space to approximately 55,000 square feet. During construction, the library was housed in Kent's University Plaza.
