Kenny Cooper Sr.

Kenny Cooper Sr. is a former goalkeeper for the Dallas Tornado of the North American Soccer League. He was born in Blackpool, England and played for Blackburn Rovers reserve squad before moving to the United States. Kenny Cooper Sr. led the NASL in goalkeeping in 1972 and 1977, and was an NASL All-Star on three occasions: 1972, 1973, and 1975.

After retiring from playing, he coached several indoor soccer teams including the Houston Summit, Baltimore Blast, Baltimore Spirit, and Tampa Bay Terror. In 1984, he coached the Blast to its only championship in the original MISL.

He is the father of Kenny Cooper who plays forward for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer.
