Kenneth Scott "Kenny" Arena (born February 6, 1981 in Charlottesville, Virginia) is a soccer player, playing the defender position. Arena is the son of former United States men's national soccer team coach Bruce Arena.
Arena played for the United States Under-20 team at the FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina in 2001. He was drafted as a Project-40 32nd overall in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft by the MetroStars after a distinguished career at the University of Virginia. After a below-average first season with the MetroStars in which Kenny made several key mistakes in limited duty, he came back much stronger in 2004. He was traded to D.C. United before the 2005 season. He was released by United on November 15, 2005 without seeing any league action. Arena served as a volunteer assistant coach with the University of Virginia for the 2006 season and helped lead the Cavaliers to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer semifinals. On April 2, 2007, Kenny was hired as an assistant coach at George Mason University. Arena will be responsible for player development, recruiting and scheduling.
