[edit] Overview

At twelve, Kenny is the youngest of the original four Tomorrow People.[1] According to Carol, he "broke out" when he was very young. He appears to be more powerful than the other Tomorrow People, but is always left behind to look after The Lab, as the others get to go of on adventures.

[edit] Saving Stephen

After Stephen is kidnapped by Jedikiah's men, John brings Carol back to The Lab.[1] Carol had managed to get an amulet from one of the men. John tells Kenny he should try using his telepathic abilities to communicate with the amulet, and try to find out more about its origins.[2] While Kenny is on Tower Bridge trying to talk to the amulet, he accidentally drops it into the Thames. He jaunts back to The Lab, and inform John and Carol. Kenny, John and Carol discover where Stephen is being held and jaunt there to help him. They rescue him from Jedikiah, and return back to The Lab.[2] Kenny tells the others that he is going home as he promised his mother. During the night Stephen is captured again and Carol and John are trapped in hyperspace. The next morning Kenny tries to contact the others but gets no response.[3] He jaunts to The Lab and frees Stephen. Jedikiah and Ginge are outside The Lab trying to gain entry, while Stephen gets TIM to bring John and Carol back from hyperspace, Kenny jaunts outside to distact Jedikiah and Ginge.[3] Ginge shoots him with Jedikiah's stun gun. As John and Carol return from hyperspace, Jedikiah breaks into The Lab, stuns the remaining Tomorrow People and takes Kenny back to Bentham House, where he held Stephen captive.[3]

[edit] Kenny's capture and rescue

Ginge takes Kenny into the house and Jedikiah fits him with a silencer band.[4] He is then locked in a room with Ginge and Lefty, and unknowingly transported to the Cyclops' spaceship. While on the ship, Kenny is taken and placed in a machine which scans him and tells Jedikiah that the boy has telepathic abilities.[4] Ginge tells Kenny that he and Lefty didn't mean to hurt anyone, and that Jedikiah told them, they were helping the human race. Kenny tells him that he had been tricked by Jedikiah. John, Carol and Stephen arrive on the ship to rescue Kenny.[5] While the other three Telepaths are trying to help the Cyclops, Kenny and the two Saps, Ginge and Lefty, use the ship's matter transporter to return to Earth.[5]

[edit] Kenny's departure

After the Tomorrow People's adventure against the Spidron, and saving the Earth from destruction, Kenny, along with Carol left the Tomorrow People, and Earth. They both joined Overmind, a group that advises the Galactic Council as an ambassador.

[edit] Powers and abilities

Like other Tomorrow People Kenny possesses various psychic abilities. The primary powers of all Telepaths are "jaunting", the ability to instantaneously transport oneself from one place to another, telepathy, the ability to read the minds of other Tomorrow People and telekinesis, the ability to move objects with the power of the mind. Telepaths can also use their teleportation abilities to teleport other inanimate objects.[3][6] A barrier which exists in the minds of all Telepaths, The Prime Barrier, prevents them from deliberately killing any living organism.[1][7]
