Kenneth Woolmer, Baron Woolmer of Leeds

Kenneth John Woolmer, Baron Woolmer of Leeds (born 25 April 1940) is a Labour politician in the United Kingdom.

He was elected at the 1979 general election as Member of Parliament (MP) for Batley and Morley in West Yorkshire. For the 1983 general election, the constituency was abolished by boundary changes and Woolmer stood for the new Batley and Spen seat, but lost to the Conservative Elizabeth Peacock. At the 1987 general election, he stood again in Batley and Spen but the Conservatives increased their majority.

He was created a Life Peer as Baron Woolmer of Leeds, of Leeds in the County of West Yorkshire in the Peerage of the United Kingdom on 3 August 1999.
