Kenneth Wang

Kenneth Xiaoxuan Wang (Chinese 王小选)(born 1955) is a New Zealand politician, and a member of the ACT New Zealand party. He entered Parliament to replace Donna Awatere Huata, who was expelled from Parliament on 19 November 2004. Wang was sworn in on 30 November 2004.
Wang was born in China, and has 3 siblings, an older brother and 2 younger sisters. His older brother, Wang Daxuan lives in the USA with his wife and child, Michael. His younger sister, Wang Tingting, lives in Australia, with her two sons, Ollie and Tony. His youngest sister, Wang Xiaomei, lives in New Zealand with her children, Andrew and Fiona.
Kenneth Wang arrived in New Zealand in 1984. He is married with 2 children - Collin, (born in 1995), who currently attends St. Kentigern's College and Amy, (born in 1985), who has graduated and currently resides in Wellington.
Wang worked in the marketing and advertising sector in Auckland. He was New Zealand's second Chinese MP (with the first being Pansy Wong).
Wang contested the seat of Mt Roskill at the 2005 elections, and was seventh on ACT's party list. However, he was not returned to Parliament.
