Ken Wesler is a Producer/Director/Arts Administrator. He is currently CEO of The Stamford Center for the Arts in Stamford CT. Current projects include Whisper House, a new musical being written by composer Duncan Sheik, playwright Kyle Jarrow and director Keith Powell.
Wesler was born in Philadelphia and worked there for twenty years, including six years as Managing Director of The Walnut Street Theatre. He produced over fifty plays and musicals, including new musicals including Twist and the national tour of The Lion in Winter starring George Peppard and Susan Clarke.
He spent over ten years as the CEO of The Grand Opera House in Wilmington Delaware, where he brought the company from the brink of failure to national acclaim, including recognition by The Peter F. Drucker Foundation for Innovation. While at The Grand Opera House, he produced a showcase of a new musical entitled, Rasputin-Miracles Lie in the Eye of the Beholder, which starred Ted Neeley.
As a director, he staged acclaimed productions of Little Shop of Horrors and The Boys Next Door, both in regional theatre.
He is also a consultant, specializing in performing arts companies that are under stress.
He also has served as a liaison for Actors' Equity Association, and was honored by that organization in the spring of 2006 for his service.
