Ken Reid (journalist)

Ken Reid (b. 23 June 1955, Belfast)[1] is a Northern Irish journalist. He is currently the Political Editor and Deputy Editor for UTV Live.[2]

Ken joined UTV in 1994 as the replacement for the station's long-serving Political Correspondent, Norman Stockton. Ken's tenure at UTV has coincided with the Northern Ireland Peace Process and in that time, he has reported on each stage of the process from a political perspective.

He has taken part in UTV's coverage of all elections in Northern Ireland, including those to the United Kingdom parliament since 1994, along with Paul Clark, Mike Nesbitt and Fearghal McKinney.

Ken has been voted News Broadcaster of the Year at the CIPR Press and Broadcast Awards in 2005[3] and 2006[4].

He has three children.
