Ken Pries

Ken Pries currently serves as the Vice President of Broadcasting and Communications for the Oakland Athletics, a position he has held since March, 2000. His time with the A's stretches back to 1991, when he worked as the team's executive producer of their radio broadcasts. His responsibilities, according to the 2006 A's Media Guide, is "negotiating all of the teams' broadcast agreements which include the A's Radio Network, cable partner FSN Bay Area, and over the air rightsholder KICU Action 36 Cable 6."

Ken Pries was born in Alameda, California, and attended San Francisco State University, where he majored in broadcast communicational arts.

From 1979-1984, Pries worked as a sports coordinator for KNBR radio in San Francisco, handling the broadcasts for the San Francisco Giants, the Golden State Warriors and University of San Francisco basketball. He moved on to KSFO, where he was the executive producer of broadcasting for the A's, and also handled the Stanford football and men's basketball broadcasts.
