Ken Kalfus

Ken Kalfus (born April 9, 1954 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA) is an American author and journalist who writes novels and stories that address modern living in America through his unique perspective of having spent extensive time abroad. He is the author of several critically-acclaimed books: A Disorder Peculiar to the Country (2006) (National Book award nominee), The Commissariat of Enlightenment (2003), PU-239 and Other Russian Fantasies (1999), and Thirst (1998). All of his books have been named New York Times Notable Books.
